The Trekker’s Friend comes in three standard sizes. These sizes relate to the width of your backpack at the base when it is packed. This is because your backpack needs to fit between wheel guards on the axle that are a fixed distance apart.
On the standard-sized Trekker’s Friend, these wheel guards are 35 cm apart, so it caters for backpacks that are up to 35 cm wide at the base, when packed. We also make Trekker’s Friends with wheel guards that are 40 cm apart and 45 cm apart.

How to measure
Measure the width of your backpack at the base when packed, as shown in the photo.
For the standard Trekker’s Friend, the width of your backpack at the base should be no more than 35 cm. If your backpack is larger, choose the width of the Trekker’s Friend that caters for your backpack at the time of ordering.
