I just wanted to let you know the Trekker’s Friend performed exactly as you describe, the extra length on the axle was not an issue at all, and at the start of our walk I’d say that my pack weight was around 22kg. I had my 19 year old son to help with occasional lifting/carrying over narrow kissing gates or through short stretches of steep rough woodland, but wherever the path was smooth enough (which was the vast majority of the walk) I was able to stride along very comfortably. The weather was really quite hot so not having the weight on my back was a real bonus!
