Without the Trekkers Friend I wouldn’t be hiking at all!
“I have completed 16 days on hiking trails in Australia with the Trekker’s Friend so far – approximately 250+ kms of walking. Next month I’m off on another 8 day trek (4 + 4), all planning towards a 600km trek next autumn. In the meantime, early/late September this year, I’ll undertake the Cape to Cape in Western Australia, a 6/7 day coastal walk.
Impressions of my Trekkers Friend so far:
Having had challenging back complaints for over 30 years, (you know: rolling cars, rolling tractors, motor-cycle accidents, playing rugby, the ‘usual’ rigours of life), however, my back is thankfully very strong, it just cannot sustain ‘all day every day’ spine compression that comes from backpack weight. This is despite striving for lightweight trekking gear averaging 15kg pack weight for a winter season 7 day multi.
So the upshot for me is that without my wonderful backpack with wheels, I would not be trekking at all !!! Just love this new best (trekkers) friend.
